![]() Playa Venao is approximately 5 hours by car from Panama City. The Billabong ISA World Surfing Games tournament in 2011 was also held at Playa Venao. Its arched brown sand beach has been the venue for important national and international surfing competitions,such as the International Surfing Championship “Playa Venao Golden Pro” which was held in 2017 and was attended by surfers from more than ten countries, giving a total of 64 wave runners (surfers), among which 12 were Panamanians and 42 from other nationalities.
